This annual festival held on the 5th day of the 3rd lunar month takes place at the Jade Water Village 玉水寨, a showcase of Naxi indigenous Dongba religion and culture at the foot of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain where a sacred spring emerges. Expect to see and hear Dongba shamans chanting sutras, holding sacrificial ceremonies for Dongbashenluo-the founder of the Dongba Religion and dancing.
