Lashi Lake National Wetland Park offers a great day out for groups of friends, couples or families. Experience part of the historic Tea Horse Road on horseback and also a slice of Naxi village life, such as farmers at work, huge buffaloes up close, little children playing and carpenters restoring old Naxi homes.
At the top of the hill, enjoy the gorgeous view of Lashi lake before enjoying a Naxi lunch at a traditional Naxi farmhouse. Between the months of December and March, you can also watch thousands of migratory birds that overwinter there from Siberia,
After lunch, visit the more remote corner of Lashi Lake, where there is one of the five most important Tibetan Buddhist temples in Lijiang, regularly visited by “living buddhas”.
